Below: Well known West Coast artist Bruce Smith is seen here aboard his beloved Venus 34 "Woodwind", which
he built.. Bruce and his wife Jan are on their way from Gig Harbor, Washington, to the West Indies as of December 2006.
The Smith's have owned "Woodwind" for many years, and have cruised extensively in the Atlantic and Pacific.
Bruce is not only an excellent artist, boatbuilder, and sailor, but he is also a real character as well.
